Terms of use
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the Djlingo mobile application (“App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Djlingo is a product of Claes Consultants (“we”, “us”).
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Djlingo, you agree to these Terms. If you are under 16, you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Service description
Djlingo is a course in music theory and electronic music history for DJs. It teaches through short lessons, listening and tapping exercises, track maps, counting exercises and quizzes. All lesson audio is built into the App; nothing is streamed.
Module 1 is free. Module 2 and Module 3 are available now as part of the full course, a one-time purchase described in section 4. Modules 4 to 7 are shown in the App and are marked “Coming soon” until they are released; they are included in the full course.
The App stores your lesson progress on your device and, unless you turn it off in Settings, keeps an end-to-end encrypted backup of it that only you can unlock, so your progress survives reinstalling the App or changing phones. The App has no accounts and no sign-in. The Privacy Policy describes how your data is handled.
3. User responsibilities
- You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of personal learning.
- You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App or its services.
- You will not use the App to generate content that is harmful, misleading, or illegal.
4. The full course and payments
Module 1 is free. The full course is a one-time in-app purchase. The price differs per country. The price for your country is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you confirm the purchase. For a limited time it can be a launch price, which is lower than the regular price that applies afterwards.
The full course includes:
- the modules that are released now: Module 2, “Mixing in key”, and Module 3, “Pitch, tempo and key”;
- Modules 4 to 7, which are marked “Coming soon” in the App. They open in the App when they are released, at no extra cost. We do not promise a release date.
The full course is not a subscription. You pay once. Nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel.
- The purchase is made through In-App Purchase in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.
- If you live in the European Union, these terms do not limit your rights under consumer law, including any right of withdrawal that Apple or Google offers for digital content.
- To get the full course again after reinstalling the App or on another phone, tap “Restore purchases” in the App while you are signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought it with. A purchase made through the App Store cannot be restored on Android, and a purchase made through Google Play cannot be restored on iPhone.
- The full course is not shared through Apple’s Family Sharing.
- Deleting your data in the App does not remove your purchase. You can restore it as described above.
5. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, audio, branding, and materials in Djlingo are the property of Claes Consultants and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Djlingo is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the App will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
- We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. You can delete your data from within the App: see the support page.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.
